Tips For Washing Your Dog

When you have a shower and wash your hair, have you ever considered how many days’ you let pass by without giving your dog a bath? Dogs have the same basic needs as us humans and are required to get the same treatment. Here are some guidelines to consider when washing your dog.

How frequently should you wash your dog?

We all know dogs love the outdoors and run amuck with getting their coats muddy. Pet owners should consider bathing their pets at least once a month. Dogs, no matter what size they are, have a habit of being scared of ‘bath time’. This is because they associate ‘bath time’ with being a terrifying time for them.

How do you choose the right shampoo for your dog?

Deciding on the right shampoo for your dog is important for their skin and coat. At Slaneyside Kennels, we offer a number of shampoo products that will suit your dog.
